A seasoned professional in graphic design, Heidi has spent the majority of her career serving in the field of higher education, while maintaining her own freelance business to expand her experience and reach.
As the Senior Graphic Designer at Albright College in Reading, Pa., Heidi is responsible for nearly all of the College’s internal and external publications and promotional materials, as well as managing production from concept to finished piece. Well-versed at producing publications within tight departmental budgets and deadlines, she has a keen eye for quality, accuracy, and consistency while collaborating with outside vendors and internal clients.
Heidi’s creativity and attention-to-detail shine in her ability to produce clean, visually appealing, cost-efficient, and striking marketing media. She has been known within the field for having a natural eye for robust design and the ability to produce high-quality visual content, while creating and managing a wide range of publications, promotional materials, and digital content.
Heidi has been recognized for her outstanding work throughout her career of more than twenty years, receiving a plethora of awards from the College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals (CUPRAP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the American Alliance of Museum’s Publication Design Competition, and the University and College Designers Association. Most recently, she was named the CUPRAP Gold CUPPIE Winner in 2019, for her work on the “Mosaic” poster, advertising the same named production by Albright College’s Domino Players.
Heidi received a Bachelor of Arts from Millersville University, where she majored in Commercial Art, and minored in Graphic Communications. She has volunteered at the Long’s Park Art Festival, Humane PA, and as a DJ on Albright College’s radio station, WXAC. She and her husband are currently working on renovating and restoring their 1890 Victorian home in southeastern Pennsylvania. In her spare time, Heidi loves to relax into her own artwork, and is especially fond of painting. She is working on a painting of her precious dog, Penny, which she hopes to complete this year. She is an avid reader, enjoys bike-riding, traveling, attending theater shows at the Fulton Opera House, spending time with her family, and hanging out with her dogs, Penny and Bear.
